Snow Hill (Ohio) Golf Course Announces Membership Prices for 2020 Season

Snow Hill Golf Course Announces

Membership Prices for 2020 Season

Snow Hill Golf Course, which opened in 1924 and is the area’s oldest golf track, has announced its membership prices for the 2020 golf season.

“We are happy to say that we have not increased our membership fees again this year,” said Mike Deters, the Professional Golf Association (PGA) professional at the New Vienna, Ohio golf course. “We take pride in our golf course and want to encourage long time and new golfers to come out and play. We make improvements every year and will continue to do so.”

An individual annual membership, that includes both green fees and cart, is      $1,700 plus tax. A spouse can be added for $1,000 plus tax and children under the age of 23 can be added for $800 each plus tax.

An individual membership that does not include cart fees is $900 plus tax. A spouse can be added for $700 plus tax and children under the age of 23 can be added for $600 each plus tax. Member cart fees will be $10 for 9 holes and $18 for 18 holes.

A junior membership is available for $450 plus tax and does not include cart fees.

Applicants will receive a 5 percent discount if annual membership is paid in full by January 31, 2020.

Contact Deters at the golf course at 937.987.2922 or mike@snowhillcountryclub.com for more details and prices that include tax and any applicable discounts.

“2020 daily fee pricing for non-members will be announced March 1st,” Deters said. “We are currently on our winter rates at $25 for 18 holes until March 31st, weather permitting.  Please call the golf shop to confirm the course is open and carts are available for use.”

After opening as a country club nearly a century ago, Snow Hill has been open to the public for many years, according to Deters. “Snow Hill is a special place and we look forward to the opportunity to be your home golfing facility,” he said.

WHS Graduate Krause Awarded Scholarship Which Honors Late Veteran Randy Harris

WILMINGTON, Ohio--Recent Wilmington High School (WHS) graduate Stephen Krause was awarded the Randall J. Harris Scholarship in graduation ceremonies this spring. Krause will be attending Miami (Ohio) University.

He finished in the top ten in his class and was second team all-state his senior year in baseball—a sport he will continue to play in college. His parents are Paul and Melissa Krause.

Randall James (Randy) Harris, a 1971 graduate of WHS, was a staff sergeant for the United States Army, who was killed in a non-hostile, peace-time incident in Honduras on June 13, 1987 at the age of 34.

Harris was shot by a Honduran solider while on duty at the Palmerola Air Base, which was used to stage training exercises for about 1,200 U.S. regular, reserve and National Guard forces. Ironically, Harris was killed on the nine-year anniversary of beginning his military career at Fort McClellan, Ala.

The Harris scholarship is awarded annually to a WHS senior whose qualifications include being in the upper third of the graduating class; one who exhibits positive attributes of leadership, service and character; and someone who may or may not demonstrate financial need.

Contributions to the fund can be made to the scholarship in care of the Clinton County Foundation, POB 831, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.
